Hartmut Flothmann

Profession/Position:
Publicly appointed and sworn expert. Former trade association managing director in the Federal Association of Printing and Media e.V.

Gutenberg's meaning for me:
Where would we stand today without Gutenberg? Based on Mainz, Gutenberg's invention of letterpress art has enabled the global information society based on it. I myself belong to the fifth generation of a printer family.

My goals:
Promoting public relations in a nutshell: By taking an active part in the "Jour Fixe" of Gutenberg's friends, public presentations, own lectures and media work arouse interest in the objectives of the Gutenberg Society.

My target audience:
Meeting point Gutenberg-Karree: For the experts of the printing and media industry and beyond, Gutenberg Museum and Gutenberg Library in Mainz offer a wealth of ideas, from typography to printmaking. Friends of the art of books will get their money's worth. As a member of the Gutenberg Society one counts to the insiders.

Why IGS:
At the numerous events organized by the Gutenberg Society on the topic of "History and Development of Printing Techniques", communication is required that promotes getting to know competent specialists from all media sectors.
