The Gutenberg Society is once again inviting you to the evening "Friends of Gutenberg - Jour Fixe". All old and new friends of the Gutenberg Society and Gutenberg Foundation as well as the popular Jour Fixe format are cordially invited to an exciting round of discussions in a spectacular cultural ambience in Mainz - we will take care of your physical well-being.
Topic: Games evening with Gutenberg
Speakers: Stefan Matlik, Klaus Wilinski and Harro Neuhardt
in cooperation with the Gutenberg Foundation
Immerse yourself in the centuries-old language world of the graphic arts industry. What is a "Hurenkind", a "Witwe" or a "Zwiebelfisch"? - these and more terms from the art of printing are queried in the card game "Die Bleilaus" by Harro Neuhardt and Klaus Wilinski, which functions entirely according to the rules of the "Black Peters". We at the Gutenberg Society look forward to trying out the "Bleilaus" and other games related to the Gutenberg universe together with you. The games for young and old are all available in the Gutenberg Shop of the Gutenberg Foundation. As a small highlight the artist of the "Bleilaus" Klaus Wilinski will draw live for us.
The Mainz designer Stefan Matlik will also be showing typographic video animations, excerpts from his work created in collaboration with museums and exhibitions, and the development steps of the typo game "memo g". All the games presented during the evening can also be purchased.
Afterwards the small, much-loved wine tasting takes place again, this time from the Christophorushof winery. For registration one asks under email@example.com or by telephone under 06131-226420.
