Curator's tour of the special exhibition "Hotspot Gutenberg-Museum – High-ranking visitors in Rhineland-Palatinate"

Curator Dr Anett Göthe guides members and GUTE FREUNDE through the special exhibition "Hotspot Gutenberg-Museum – High-ranking visitors in Rhineland-Palatinate".

In the 75 years since the founding of Rhineland-Palatinate numerous national and internationonal personalities were greeted as guests. All of them have written in the golden book of the state capital Mainz. Many of the high ranking guests from politics, economy, culture and science have visited the Gutenberg Museum as well. This Museum is from special importance, as it is one of the oldest book and printing museum of the wolrd at the birthplace of Johannes Gutenberg.

Many of the prominent guests wrote with exitement in the guest book of the museum. The museum's guest book with its numerous entries by prominent guests since 1962, the year in which the current shell building of the museum was opened, is the central object of the exhibition, offering various events and information from the guests in connection with their visit to Mainz and the Gutenberg Museum. With pictures and accompanying information a historical context is created. Objects, historical news material and photographs from selcted personalities who visited the museum pesented next to it, visitors are invited to participate in the history of the Gutenberg Museum.

After the guided tour by curator Dr Anett Göthe, we can discuss what we have seen over a glass of wine. The tour is exlusive for GOOD FRIENDS and members of the International Gutenberg Society.
