On Sunday 12 September, fittingly on the occasion of the Open Monument Day, the Kulturei Mainz will be part of the "historical fortress mile" from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., organised by the Initiative Zitadelle Mainz e.V.. The Fortress Mile will run along the Zitadellenweg between the
Kommandantenbau and the Roman Stage Theatre. In addition to food and drink, exhibitions, music and much more, we will also be there together with the Friends of the Gutenberg Foundation. Under the motto "Kulturei meets Gutenberg", we, as the sponsoring organisations of the Gutenberg Museum, will be visiting the Kulturei Mainz. Accompanying this, the exhibition "The Splendour of the Gutenberg Bible" will show artistic reproductions of individual pages from the Gutenberg Bible - unique and only for one day! We will also offer printing on a hand printing press in return for a donation to the Gutenberg Museum and there will be a small sales corner of the Gutenberg Shop.
