The largest Bible page in the world

The page of a Gutenberg Bible shown here is a project as part of the “625 Years of Gutenberg” celebrations. It was created using the letterpress printing process with the help of a computer-milled wood block. It was produced on April 26, 2025 in a spectacular printing operation.

It is the first page of the Gospel of John from the so-called ‘Shuckburgh Bible’, the original of which can be found in the treasury of the Gutenberg-Museum MOVED. The page measures 5 x 7.20 meters.

The Gutenberg Bible is not only the first book to be printed using the new method, but it is also considered to be one of the most beautiful.
